Transforming Together: Authentic Spiritual Mentoring

My Story:

Born the third of three;
The responsible eldest became
Held at arm's length and patted on the head
Nurtured, not.

Embraced Jesus, drew Him in
Young as I was
Old was my soul.
Hungry for Him, devoured Truth
Satisfied. Solitaire, but not alone.

Married. Children. Three steps forward, two back.
Obedient with pain.
Walking on broken dreams
Invisible bloodsoaked soul
The Great Physician
Scarred but healed

Mentee of the Spirit
Valued by Him.
Transforming He is
my life inside out.

Gratitude! Strength! JOY!

What is YOUR story?????

Born a single child
Didn't realize that parents had problems until in my 20s.
Dad left for other woman. Took care of mom the best I could while pursuing University.
Moved for work in the Nation Capital in Canada.
Somehow came to a church that was different ie not catholic. Met future brother-in-law (and husband) there... Met Jesus. Moved in with Jesus...
Married. Got children after hard times. 4 now 3 boys and 1 girl. Homeschool now even though I never though I would... Hey - God do change us!

Planting a church with hubby and a group of wonderful leaders (3 of them). Hard ground but we are percevering... Kids love it... butthey are the only ones there.

God has changed me since 1997. He worked in me so I can meet up withmy dad before his death.

Mom - not christian. We tried to explain but she doesn't want to hear it. So we are being God to her by love.

Yes transforming He is and continue to be. Thank You Lord.

Interesting exercise, isn't it....trying to condense the results of living into a few words? Thank you for sharing, for thinking, for 'condensing'......
